Creatures Comedy Festival is returning to the Northern Quarter for the second year. It’s running from Tuesday 15 – Saturday 26 July.

Based in Creatures Comedy Club on Oldham Street, the festival is showcasing up and coming talent, as well as new material from bigger names. And since their inaugural year, they’ve doubled in size.

As well as Creatures Comedy Club – which now has its own dedicated spot on Oldham Street, after expanding out of the basement of Wilson’s Social – shows will also be held at neighbouring Oldham Street cocktail bar Lost Cat.

Appearing at the festival are podcast favourites like Celya AB testing her ‘work in progress’ material, stand-up Alison Spittle, podcaster Rob Auton, former Scottish Comedian of the Year Larry Dean, and Comedy Central alumnus Tadiwah Mahlunge.

Other acts on the bill include Chloe Petts, double act Graham & Steen and improv from do Ev & Kev.

Founder and comedian Evan Desmarais said ‘we want to be a beautiful bridge between the pro-level scene and the amateurs working it out’.
