If you ask me, anyone who’s never spent half their evening arguing about where to order from probably doesn’t deserve to be eating takeaway anyway. Thankfully though, for those that would rather keep the peace and make the whole house happy there’s a new food delivery team in town and you need to know all about them.
Introducing Foodie Food, the brand new city centre takeaway offering some of the best pizzas and burgers around, plus a bunch of banging sides too.
I think it’s fair to say we’ve all become a bit numb to the usual lingo. We’re used to our pizza dough being ‘hand-stretched’ then ‘wood-fired’, and don’t even think of serving me a burger unless it comes in a brioche bun.
So let’s just say the pizzas taste Italian, the burgers taste American and when you stuck into those wings you’re going to end up with sticky, spicy sauce all over your grubby grinning face.
This ain’t pretentious food though, it’s just food done well.
Co-Owner Stephen explains:
“We wanted to open an inclusive option for foodies and their families and their friends. There’s a lot of burger places or pizza places, but we wanted to create something where the whole family can order from one place.”
“We’ve also taken into consideration the dietary/allergen aspects of the food by offering gluten-free pizza bases, gluten-free burger buns, vegan options, dairy-free options, and also all of our meat is halal.”
“We’re located in the city centre and also wanted to give something back by offering 10% of all orders made through our website to Manchester food banks, and will do the same as we grow in to other towns and cities. We’ve already viewed our next location in Stockport with an open date around early to mid-June.”
When you’re ordering we’d definitely be sure to grab a burger, they’re simple, served straight up and are exactly like the sort of thing you’d get served in a New York diner. Also be sure to tackle a few pizzas, the Meaty and N’duja options are certain to prove popular but for something a bit different, and to keep any veggies happy, give the Goats Cheese a go.
Basically we were mightily impressed with everything that touched our greedy lips, plus City scored the very moment our food arrived, worth bearing in mind next time your team is losing and you’re hungry, just in case they bring a bit of luck to you too.
So there you have it, it’s finally possible to get yourself and yours a cracking scran without any of the arguments, and even support the city’s food banks while you’re at it. Take it from us too, after tucking in you’ll definitely be coming back for more.
