As I’m sure you’re aware, District is a New Wave Thai Kitchen and Bar, brought to you from the people behind Tokyo Ramen and a restaurant that brought a futuristic vision of Bangkok’s fire- and- barbecue-lined streets to the Northern Quarter when they opened up back in June.

With a progressive approach to Thai food, District brings wood-fired, modern barbecue cookery to Manchester, creates an engaging, long-lasting dinner experience that touches all the senses; from the smells of char that waft from the kitchen, to the banging synthwave soundtrack.

This week sees them finally open up their transformed basement bar, a Blade Runner-inspired set up where the District experience continues.

The cocktail menu, like every part of District, has been developed to draw on every sense, with sight, smell and taste being heightened with every sip.

All 8 cocktails have been inspired by Thai cuisine, combining the best of bar and culinary techniques, including the FORNAX, made using smoked beef fat rum, fish sauce caramel, tomato, thai parsley; and DREAM GUN with grilled banana bourbon, milk of the poppy and turmeric.

The drinks menu also includes a DISTRICT THAI_PA in collaboration with Shindigger, a selection of wines and in house made soft drinks such as TURMERIC POP and SCREWPINE SODA.
