Velio Festival has released the full lineup for their 2021 festival and it looks mega!
Taking place at the picturesque Cholmondeley Castle in September, the world-first festival celebrates life on two wheels across three nights of music, comedy, feasting, wellness and of course cycling amongst many other fantastic activities.
Throughout the day you can saddle up and enjoy five different cycling routes with options for beginners, experienced riders, disabled cycling, and mini kids rides too.
The headliner ride, Velutopia, is a world-first event stretching 14km of closed roads. The ride takes cyclists on an immersive cycle tour packed with entertainment and an abundance of surprises along the way.
The Velutopia immersive experience is suitable for the whole family. There will also be viewers platforms and finish line commentators waiting to celebrate when you cross the line!
There will also be virtual races in the indoor cycling area where you can have a go on the latest technology or check out an array of next-generation bikes and accessories.
If all the cycling activities weren’t enough there’s a whole line up of entertainment, music and comedy across five stages.
Renowned vocal group Sister Sledge will be taking over the centre stage alongside fellow headliners Everything Everything.
Also taking over the main stage include a range of live acts including Elder Island and The Futureheads as well as DJ sets from Friendly Fires and Norman Jay MBE.
There’s also plenty of amazing tribute acts too, including The Bootleg Beatles and Da Funk as well as Mr Motivator who will be getting the party started on the main stage.
La Discotheque will be hosting their own stage acts including Crazy P Soundsystem and Disco Classics.
For those who like a bit of live comedy, Jason Manford will be providing a laugh a minute presented by Altitude Comedy Festival with a stream of cherry-picked comedians, including Marcus Brigstocke, Shappi Khorsandi and Lou Conran.
The open-air village, The Velio Village, will be hosting a programme of day and nighttime immersive entertainment from brass bands, DJs, cabaret & burlesque, karaoke, film screenings, kids entertainment and more.
You can indulge in some ‘me’ time curated by Getahead with hot tubs, yoga classes, wild swimming, paddleboarding. Plus there’s even a ‘Cuddle Club’ featuring dog therapy.
Communal feasting will be at the heart of the festival with The Great Village Feast.
Award-winning restaurant, Volta, will be collaborating to produce the banquets at the festival that will champion local produce as well as tempting tipples.
All tickets include three days and three nights with access to a spacious campsite, toilets and showers.
If you fancy an enhanced camping experience, you can opt for a range of two to eight people complete with memory foam mattresses, premium bedding, bedside lights and tables as standard, with optional upgrades of electricity, toiletries, mirrors, and towels available.
