Live Music, Comedy, BBQs & Bottomless Champagne: Escape to Freight Island this Autumn

Escape to Freight Island has revealed its arts, culture and music programming for September and October.

The inventive space is presenting a wide array of entertainment to complement the visionary food market, including DJs and live music performances, dance, comedy nights, film screenings and family focused happenings.

Opening seven days a week from September, the programming will see headliners including David Rodigan, Joe Goddard, DJ Yoda, Craig Charles, La Discothèque, Bugged Out, and the return of the legendary Electric Chair.

There’s a new Tuesday night partnership from The Comedy Store starting in September, where Freight Island will be overflowing with laughter with this new and exciting Manchester collaboration. Eat, drink and be merry whilst enjoying the finest stand-up comedy in the land.

Live music in The Ticket Hall will see new shows from The Untold Orchestra playing the music from artists such as Amy Winehouse, Prince, Paul Simon and Radiohead.

Weekend line-ups featuring stellar talent from PBR Streetgang, Crazy P Soundsystem, James Holroyd & Krysko. With later opening hours they’ll be some exciting Golden hour headliners and fun interactive Saturday events from Guilty Pleasures, Massaoke & The Cuban Brothers

Sundays start from 10am with inside a strong family offerings from the like of The Playhouse Project, Our Kids Social, Born to Be Wild Child, Baby Rock Sampler and more…

Brunch is back in The Room, bigger, better and more grown up in September with a live Pianist and all you can drink Champagne! This will be from 10am to 1pm in the Plant Room (last booking 11.30).

There’s the soulful soundtrack from Manchester with Love with Jenna G and some super exciting BBQ parties in the outdoor space including a La Discothèque and the legendary Craig Charles.

Rumour has it there’ll be a few secret parties going on as well as some partnerships from events such as Repercussion, Homobloc and the return of the legendary Electric Chair.

Escape to Freight Island opens seven days a week from September, Monday to Thursday from 3pm to midnight, Friday 12pm -1am, Saturdays 10am – 1am and Sundays 10am – 12am

Walk-ups available but book in advance to secure preferred date and time, September and October bookings are now open…
