It’s always exciting when someone announces something new coming to King Street, a part of town which suffered over the last decade but, in recent years, have seen a welcome resurgence in attention – and will certainly be looking to come out of lockdown in a strong position.
Back in the 90s King Street was the envy of many cities; a must-visit retail destination, with a host of exciting high-end shops and boutiques. A lot has changed on the high street since then, and even though this was over 20 years ago, there’s still a great selection of shops here, and in more recent years – an influx of excellent restaurants too.
There’s Tast, El Gato Negro, Gary Usher’s Kala, plus a wealth of excellent establishments just off King Street, including La Bandera, Rosso and the ever-popular Six By Nico.
Well, there’s set to be a brand-new offering to add to that list, as 37 King Street has been extensively re-modelled and renovated, offering up 4 floors of premium office space, alongside a brand-new restaurant and leisure space on the ground floor.
The large retail space was once home to Boots and later a Google Garage – so it’s suitable for a range of uses. There’s been interest from some well-known restaurateurs, which would certainly add to the thriving food and drink scene on King Street – but nothing has been locked in yet.

Offering access from both St Anns Square and King Street, 37 King Street compromises a selection of modern workspaces, in a prime and prominent location.
Undoubtedly this development will go some way to continuing the exciting resurgence of King Street as a key destination once again in the city – especially as we come out of lockdown.
Offices in 37 King Street are available now, and if you want to know more about the retail unit on the ground floor – get in touch below…
