The folks down at Jimmy’s are seemingly just never too busy. After a whopping 3 years of Jimmy’s in the NQ, a few months back they opened up Jimmy’s Liverpool and now they’re after the 13th coolest place to live.
The rock and roll venue has become an iconic spot with the old school cinemas sign promising ‘good beer, good music, good times’ above the door.
The leopard print chairs, pink neon signs and lightning bolt logo have become pretty easily recognised and you are almost guaranteed to see some half-famous faces in there.
By now we all now Ancoats is the place to be and Jimmy’s seem to think so too. So it’s only right they move to Ancoats right?
With planning permissions currently going through for a venue just off the quiet and relatively subdued Cutting Room square, the opening of Jimmy’s is likely to inject some serious amounts of leather, cord and flares into Ancoats.
At least, this is what some little birds have told us anyway… Do you think it will make a good addition to the cobbled square?
