Located in the stadium of Ashton United FC, the Cross Bar is a brand-new neighbourhood bar and this week they’re hosting an Indian Supper Club with the help of Jessore Road.
The new owners of Ashton United have spent years completely revamping and renovating their on-site bar, creating a stunning, relaxed space in which people can come watch some sport, have a few pints and bring their families on match days.
They’re also starting regular weekly events, kicking things off with an Indian Tiffin Menu this Thursday 23rd September, with the help of popular Indian Street Food specialists Jessore Road.
For £20 (including poppadoms and chutney), there’s a choice of three different Tiffin meals, including Channa Chat and Palak Paneer for veggies, and Chicken Kebabs, Lamb Samosas, Chicken Jalfrezi and Keema Matara & Spicy Aloo for meat eaters.
What’s more, for your £20 you also receive a complementary pint or glass of wine upon entry. Nice!
The lads at Jessore Road have taken Manchester’s curry world by storm over the last year, offering up no-nonsense authentic Indian food, “how our mother makes it”.
Owners Peter and Raja have taken authentic recipes, prepared exactly the way their mothers would, using traditional methods and ingredients the way proper Indian food should be.
So head on down to The Cross Bar this Thursday for an authentic Indian Tiffin Supper Club, you won’t be disappointed!
