An exceptional wine and dine event is taking over Tattu on Thursday 24th October courtesy of the new A La Carte Menu and the prestigious wine producer – Norton Wines.

The new winter menu has seen 17 new dishes added to the to-die-for menu complete with showstopping indulgent desserts.

Bodega Norton was founded in 1895 and produces signature, fine Argentinian wines. With vineyards spread over the province of Mendoza known for the quality grapes, Norton have over 120 years of expertise and have perfectly crafted the skill of wine making.

So much so, the brand has been recognised as one of the best in the world by critics. Safe to say your in safe hands for this event then hey?!

The evening will begin with canapés, including Lobster and Prawn Toast served with sweet and sour chilli sauce and a Sweet and Sour Vegetable Tempura with lemon ponzu, soba noodles and nori salt. Wash it down with 2018 Gruner Veltliner, a refreshing South American white with white pepper and cloves.

The first wave of food will see a pairing of Salmon Sashizza and a glass of 2018 Torrontes. The Salmon is served with yuzo kosho ailoi, truffle and pickled cucumber. The second white of the evening, Torrontes, is an aromatic wine with white peach and floral notes

Next up will be the Crispy Pork Belly, served with black vinegar and coriander. This has been expertly paired with the Pinot Noir Altura a ruby red wine filled with the scent of cherries and a product that comes from a winery based in the foothills of the Andes.

Wave three includes Sticky Beef Short Rib with soy, chilli and crispy shallots served with Malbec Winemakers Reserve. The distinctive mulberry-flavoured Malbec is characterised by elegant and complexity with ripe black fruit, violets and spices throughout and is perfectly paired with beef.

Next up is main course of the event. The dish includes a Ribeye Steak Bulgogi served alongside crispy kale seaweed, duck egg fried rice and a glass of 2015 Single vineyard Malbec.

Complete with blackberry and raspberry aromas, there’s an intense and spiced character perfect along side steak.

To finish, wave five sees a taste of one of the new showstopping desserts, the Revelled Wontons. A lucky dip of wontons filled with either chocolate orange, chilli or coffee.

The evening will be hosted by Export Director, Diego Surazsky from Norton Wines, a true expert who will guide guests through the wine list paired with dishes.
