Fancy adding a bit of vintage Chanel, some 80s Stone Island or a jacket as worn by Pharrell to your wardrobe? Selfridges has launched Worn Again, a series of shopping experiences that aim to be good for the planet while also being as thrilling as buying new. It’s the antithesis of fast fashion and we are here for it.

Aiming to “keep products in circulation for longer” and give people an alternative to buying new. Worn Again is a series of pop ups as part of Selfridges’ existing ‘Reselfridges’ concept – a “resale, rental, repair, refill and recycle ecosystem”. The upmarket store’s ambition is that 45% of transactions will come from circular products and services by 2030 through the scheme.

With the future of fashion in flux, this series of “buzz-worthy retail experiences” taking place between April and August this year aim to show us what fashion forward really means.

Products will be available at London, Manchester (Trafford and Exchange Square) and Birmingham Selfridges stores and at Selfridges.com. The Manchester stores will also offer a series of swap shops and host “upcyclists in residence” events. There will also be permanent subscription and rent to buy services.

Worn Again pop ups:

The Edit by Reselfridges – 20 April – 30 July 2023 – Manchester Exchange and Trafford.

Designed with Liverpool-based architects Mutt, The Edit offers a new way to shop secondhand, with a focus on Selfridges unique curation, environment and expert service. Dedicated spaces at both Trafford and Exchange stores will house fashion products chosen by Selfridges buyers and sourced exclusively by Reselfridges’ global network of resellers and archivists.

Coachtopia – 1 June – 2 July

Coachtopia is a new sub-brand from Coach focused on “circular craft”. It aims to reduce the creation of new materials by crafting with waste that is reincarnated into desirable new items . The pop-up will also showcase Coachtopia’s Ergo bags -, a reimagined 90s silhouette from Coach’s archives made from either Upcrafted or Coachtopia leather and at least 48% recycled or repurposed materials – only available in the UK at Selfridges
