Orla has been writing songs since she was 14 and posting them on youtube after teaching herself how to play the guitar, she’s now released her first EP and is off on her European tour.
Kicking off in November, Orla will be showcasing her much-anticipated EP ‘Why Am I Like This?’ across the UK and Europe stopping at Manchester on 14th November ahead of the headline show at Scala, London on the 20th.
The EP includes the title track ‘Why Am I Like This?’ which deals with coping with social anxiety in a stripped-back and honest tone of voice and ‘Flatline’ which has over a million streams on Spotify and covers the topics of one-sided friendships.
Her style is confessionary pop and melancholy-tinged lyrics has seen Orla compared to the likes of Stevie Nicks, St Vincent and HAIM.
