With an ethos that looks after your mental health, whilst also dating, Bored of Dating Apps started when single scouser Jess Hope-Evans organised an ‘Anti-Dating App Social Night‘ in Liverpool at the beginning of the year.
Since then things have grown considerably, and she hosts a range of different events across Liverpool, and we’re now set to welcome her to Manchester in October with a special ‘Sip & Paint’ evening at GRUB.
The whole idea is about getting back-to-basics, by taking everything offline, with a subliminal focus on looking after your mental health in the hectic culture of dating.
The events are designed so that whether you meet someone or not, the activities are so varied and fun, and the people are so welcoming and genuine that you will have a good night, no matter what happens.
So on Thursday 20th October, GRUB and Bored of Dating Apps will be hosting a SINGLES ONLY Sip & Paint night with Salford-based artist Libby Ayres – a fun way to learn to paint in a relaxed, fun and sociable environment.
Libby has synaesthesia meaning she experiences colours as she listens to music. During the session, she will guide you through her processes and techniques for using acrylic paints to create a beautiful canvas for you to take home.
All abilities are welcome and this class is perfect for beginners so all you need to do is go along with an open mind and be ready to get creative.
Tickets are £35 and include:
- A complimentary drink – spirit & mixer, house beer, house cider, house wine, or low/no alternative or soft drink.
- Acrylic paints
- Your artwork to take home
