I’ve said this before and I’ll say it right now; Back to the Future is a PERFECT movie. Nothing at all is wasted, there’s no flab and the story is as water tight as an otter’s underpants.

Michael J Fox plays the best 34-year-old man as a teenager, Christopher Lloyd plays a brilliant mad scientist and if you don’t want to punch Biff Tannen in his stupid little face by the end of it then you’re not truly human.

Well, for all fans of the movie you’ll be ecstatic to hear that 2020 will see a brand-new Back to the Future MUSICAL come to the Manchester Opera House for 12 weeks (before then heading down to London’s West End).

The 1985 classic will be transported to the stage by creators of the original film, Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis and the combined eight-time Grammy Award-winning pairing of Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard.

You’ll be sent on an electrifying ride through time with an all-new score alongside the movie’s iconic hits, including The Power of Love, Johnny B Goode, Earth Angel and Back in Time.

Strap yourself in for a thrilling musical adventure directed by Tony Award-winning John Rando alongside the multi Tony and Olivier Award-winning design team of Tim Hatley (design), Hugh Vanstone (lighting) and Finn Ross (video) with choreography by Chris Bailey and illusions by Paul Kieve (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban).

It sounds bloody brilliant and you can get your tickets right now!
