Moovin Festival will return to Whitebottom Farm in Etherow Country Park, Stockport, from 12–14 June 2026, with a heavyweight first phase line-up led by Groove Armada and 2manydjs.

The independent boutique festival, set within the wooded surrounds of Etherow Country Park, has built a reputation for pairing major names with an intimate setting. With a capacity deliberately kept tight, festival-goers can expect close-up performances inside the converted cow barn that forms the Barn Stage, as well as across four other stages dotted around the farm.

This summer will see Groove Armada and 2manydjs at the top of the bill, having both previously headlined the Barn Stage. They return with DJ sets in a refreshed, DJ-led version of the space, which organisers say will be transformed into a dedicated rave environment.

“At the bottom of a tree lined valley, a hay barn with a fat sound-system. A freewheeling crowd, no VIP red ropes, no hassle from the authorities, just music and good vibes. 90s free party? No, it’s the wonderful Moovin festival,” said Andy Cato and Tom Findlay of Groove Armada.

Elsewhere on the line-up, Gilles Peterson, Nightmares On Wax and Quantic bring global sounds and soul, while Danilo Plessow, also known as Motor City Drum Ensemble, is confirmed in a booking aimed squarely at deep house enthusiasts.

They are joined by E Sou’s Luke Una and long-time Moovin regular Mr Scruff, whose daytime sets have become a staple of the weekend. Disco figure Greg Wilson will mark 50 years behind the decks with a special set, alongside Dan Shake.

Manchester’s club heritage is represented by original Haçienda residents Mike Pickering and Graeme Park, with DJ Paulette, Mark XTC, K-Klass and Justin Robertson also appearing across the weekend.

“Whenever I get to play at Moovin Festival it’s a highlight of my festival calendar. As soon as I see the waterfall I feel like I’m home. The crowd is just beautiful and the energy is electric!” added Paulette.

Live performances will include Jurassic 5’s Chali 2na with a new full band, acid jazz group Galliano, DRS with his live band project, Ozric Tentacles and Mungo’s Hi-Fi. Manchester band Porij join the bill, alongside South Africa’s Moonchild Sanelly, bringing her blend of kwaito, hip-hop and amapiano to the farm for the first time.

Drum and bass and jungle are also strongly represented in the first announcement, with Micky Finn, Nicky Blackmarket, Brockie, Dr Meaker and DRS confirmed, and more names expected. Freestylers, Jaguar Skills, Plump DJs, Xpress 2, Utah Saints and Soul Of Man add party-focused sets, while A.Skillz and resident DMC champion DJ Woody bring hip-hop flavour.

Beyond the headline names, Moovin continues to position itself as a space for discovery, programming emerging artists alongside established acts. Set on a working cow farm around 30 minutes from Manchester and an hour from Sheffield, the site features straw bale seating, lakes and tree-lined walkways, with entry through a dramatic gorge before opening onto the main arena.

Organisers have confirmed that this is only phase one of the 2026 line-up, with further acts still to be announced.

Tickets are on sale now.
