Ian Pooley is set to play in Manchester for the first time in over a decade.
The Berlin-based DJ and producer will be hitting sound-forward Thomas Street bar renae on 30 October for an intimate set.
Driven by a love of early Chicago house and Detroit techno, he kicked off his career in the early 90s, with releases on the legendary Force Inc label.

Known for his prolific production for labels like Josh Wink’s Ovum, Rekids, Kwench and Bristol’s NRK, as well as his own label Pooledmusic, he’s also heavily influenced by Brazilian sounds, as seen on his acclaimed album Since Then, which is 25 years old this year.
Renae opened earlier this year, featuring a bespoke sound system from L’Acoustics in Paris. It’s boasted sets from the likes of MJ Cole and Jane Fitz, as well as championing local talent including Ellen Beth Abdi, Krysko, Joey T and Laura Jackson.
The night will be held in conjunction with Manchester’s Finest and Jose Cuervo Tradicional, the world’s original tequila, produced by the same family since 1795.
Joining him on the decks on the night will be Reform and NTS Radio’s Rhod Parry and Jack Lydon.
Tickets are on sale now.
