With Mother’s Day just around the corner, it’s about time you started thinking about how you’re going to impress your mum this year. A Moonpig card and a panic bought packet of Mini Eggs from the local garage just isn’t going to cut it.

Lucky for you, we live in Manchester, a city known for its art, culture, music and food, and there’s plenty of Mother’s Day activities this year falling into each and every one of those categories. If it’s a tempting Sunday roast complete with all the traditional trimmings you’re after, Albert Schloss, Zouk, Impossible and Habas are all offering special deals for a family-focused afternoon out.

However, if your mum favours hands-on fun, there are plenty of workshops and classes for you to bond over, too, including one on one pottery sessions in Macclesfield, a chance to try your hand painting one of Monet’s masterpieces in the city centre and a Magic Mike themed brunch in Wigan. Oh, and there’s bottomless WKD at that one, too.

Read on for our round-up of the best things to do in Manchester for Mother’s Day 2023.
