Deansgate’s hidden gem bar and home to Manchester’s celebrated cheese fondue, The Mews, is hosting a line-up of excellent comedy this weekend.

Taking place on Sunday 20th November from 7.30pm, the event will be hosted by Kieran Lawless, an Irish-born now Manchester-based award-winning comedian who has previously been described as “exceedingly entertaining, highly energised and side splittingly funny.”

Joining him will be three other local comedians including; Dom Hatton Woods, Daliso Chaponda and Rob Mullholland.

Dom Hatton Woods is a familiar face on the Manchester circuit and the voice of Much Obliged Comedy’s self-titled podcast. He shot to fame via TikTok, a familiar story of the modern-day comedy, which featured his quick witted, slightly confused comedy.

Daliso Chaponda began performing when he was young, rising to fame as part of Britain’s Got Talent, making it to the final of the show back in 2017.

Since then, the performer has toured extensively worldwide and is also the writer, creator, and host of his Rose d’Or nominated BBC Radio 4 show, Citizen of Nowhere that has aired for two series.

Completing Sunday’s bill is Rob Mullholland, a Yorkshire comedian well-known for his gag-packed sets and suspicious outlook on everyday life. He has also by a runner up in the prestigious Leicester Mercury Comedian Of The Year and runner-up in the Yorkshire Fringe Comedian Of The Year.

The Mews will open its doors to the event at 7.30pm. Tickets are £12 and include a welcome drink on arrival.

Guests can also purchase additional drinks, charcuterie boards and snacks throughout the evening.
