This Wednesday 28th September sees the return of Public Relations’ NFT meetup event at Ducie Street Warehouse in the Northern Quarter, an evening consisting of networking and drinks with like-minded individuals and an experienced panel talk with key players in the NFT scene.
The evening will host Gabriel “GG” Gimenez, a Venezuelan-born, Miami and London-based visual artist who has created a short film – “WWFDWNFT – Chapter 1: The Dawn of the Imagination Age” – and used NFT technology as a means of independent film distribution.
For this first instalment, Gimenez and his team interviewed some key artists, curators, entrepreneurs and government officials who are leading the way in this new and exciting space.
The list includes: founders of NFT NOW Alejandro Navia and Matt Medved, Griffin Cock Foster co-founder of NiftyGateway, Defaced, Kid8, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, Raina Mehler director of Pace gallery and Vincent Harrison, owner of iv gallery and Digital Nativ.
Kicking off from 6.45pm, the evening will culminate in a panel talk from Gabriel “GG” Gimenez, Leimai Lemaow, whose varied work can be found in the form of murals in Liverpool and Manchester to clothing and footwear, Sean Sinclair, host of NFT talks and Web3 consultant and Jemma Fleetwood, a solicitor at JMW Solicitors who is experienced in Tech, Cyber, Brand Protection and IP.
Andrai Jones, from NFT Public Relations, the creator of monthly meet-ups around the North West, said: “This is our second meet-up at Ducie Street Warehouse having hosted our first one in July. The venue is the perfect fit for our events with how it integrates art throughout and connects with creatives within the city. We were overwhelmed by the turnout for our first event where we hosted a panel which the likes of Numan Khan sat on. The community’s response was amazing.”
