Returning once again for 2022, Stockport restaurant Where The Light Gets In is hosting an alternative Christmas market this Sunday alongside some of the city’s leading independent creators.

Taking place at the venue from 12pm – 4pm, makers from across Manchester will host stalls inviting visitors to buy independently and shop sustainably for Christmas, whilst also meeting the brains behind the businesses.

Designer Bec Kirby from soosumsee and Emiko Studios, Ceramacist Nehal Aamir, On the Brink studios, Stockport Fungi, Critical Studios, Emma from Into the Gathering Dusk and Yellow have already been confirmed for the event, all offering unique gift ideas.

Visitors will get the chance to browse clothing, ceramics, art prints, handcrafted wooden goods and more at the market, whilst also enjoying local food and drink.

The award-winning Michelin guide restaurant Where The Light Gets In has cemented itself as one of the North West’s leading eateries, and this is the second Christmas market to be held at the venue.

Commended for not only working directly with farmers and fishermen, but also sourcing produce from its very own farm, Where The Light Gets In ensures that everyone has a true understanding of what it means to work on the land and has also gained a Michelin green star for its work.

Produce, weather patterns and sea conditions dictate the menu, offering a balanced choice “that both nourishes the body and sustains our eco-system.”

The Christmas market will take place from 12pm – 4pm this Sunday. It’s a free to attend event, no need to pre-book.
