Participating in Veganuary this month? Well, there’s no place you’d rather be from the 28th – 30th of January than GRUB’s site at Red Bank.

The event will take place from 4pm on Friday 28th January to 6pm on Sunday 30th January and there’ll be six of the very best plant-based street food traders, alongside a fully vegan bar offering wine, cocktails, spirits, soft drinks, hot drinks, toddies and beer from some great local vegan friendly breweries. You can also expect music, DJ’s and some gorgeous times.

You’ll be able to get your hands on tasty vegan delights from Fat Annie’s, a Stateside street food restaurant that was established in Manchester’s Northern Quarter back in 2014.

They announced in 2020 that they were going fully MEAT-FREE, and they now serve dishes including American Pancake Stacks, a huge list of American-style Hot Dogs and Burgers, as well as vegan milkshakes.

The Sri Lankan Experience is also on the line-up this month. Their chefs serve a taste exploration of Sri Lanka that’s completely plant-based and gluten-free with a plethora of vibrant dishes to try.

Some faves include the Dal Vada Burger with Seeni Chutney and Okra Fries (YUM), and Bonda Balls – deep fried balls coated in curried batter and lightly spiced with a fluffy potato filling.

Seitan’s Kebab will be there, too, a vegan street food business based in Manchester run by passionate foodies and loved-up duo, Matt and Steph. They’re an independent vegan business offering tasty, healthier plant-based alternatives to our favourite takeaway kebabs.

Their menu is diverse, and they use only fresh ingredients in their Döner kebabs, Shawarmas and Falafel wraps.

If you’re craving a bit of sloppy pizza this month, then you might want to pay Marley’s Pizza a visit.

They’ll be serving 100% vegan woodfired pizzas from their handcrafted horse box, and they look AMAZING. They’ve got your classic Margherita, a Veggie delight, Spicy Vegan Beef and meat-free Pepperoni on offer, among many other flavours for you to choose from.

There’s not much better than a big slab of cake and a coffee on a cold winter afternoon, is there? So if that’s what your after The Vegan Bakery and Drizzle City bakes will be set up at GRUB all weekend, too, selling loads of delicious baked goods!

The GRUB ExtraVEGANza is always a very well attended event, so it’s recommend that large groups book a table by following the link below.

GRUB will also be hosting a fully vegan version of its bottomless brunch on the Saturday, too, which you can grab tickets for here.
