A Fully Vegan West African Supper Club is coming to Feel Good Club in the Northern Quarter

Feel Club Club has teamed up with Gwafuvegan to offer an exclusive, plant-based supper club.

Taking place in Feel Good Club’s warm and welcoming Northern Quarter space, Gwafuvegan will host a West African themed supper club this July using low waste, fresh and seasonal produce.

The event will be an intimate affair that will see head chef, Ngwafu cook a delicious African and Cameroonian three course meal to feed your soul! Every single thing on the menu is 100% vegan and you’ll learn about Gwafuvegan’s food, culture and ingredients throughout the evening.

Kicking off the meal will be the Koki Corn with grilled pineapple salsa on a bed of crispy plantain chips, topped with Mumm’s mild hot sauce. Koki Corn is a wonderful African dish made primarily with fresh corn and cornmeal, spinach and oil wrapped in banana leaves and steamed to perfection!

The main course will consist of loaded grilled seasonal vegetables served with a homemade salsa verde and a black bean hummus, and the dessert is a traditional take on a classic.

Ngwafu will create a Tiramisu inspired chocolate puff puff with a spiced sugared cream. Puff Puffs are tasty donut-like balls that originated in West Africa. The dish can be eaten as a savoury side dish, indulgent dessert or just as a snack – and you can also order them from Ngwafu to be delivered straight to your door!

Ngwafu setup Gwafuvegan to share their love and passion for delicious, health positive West African vegan food. They wanted to start a business to encourage vegan’s to broaden their flavour horizons by aiming to only use high-quality, sustainable produce.

The supper club will take place at Feel Good Club, a space in Manchester with a focus on health and wellbeing. The cafe was set up by Kiera and Aimie Lawlor-Skillen as a welcoming space to unwind and relax with coffee, brunch, cocktails and events that regularly promote mindfulness.

Tickets for the supper club are £30 per person and the event is from 7pm – 10pm on Wednesday 13th July.
