
The team at
Edinburgh Castle are introducing a number of exquisite new dishes and menus to get us through this absolutely miserable February and we could not be happier because the esteemed upstairs dining room at the Edinburgh Castle now does
LUNCH!
Priced at 2-courses for £30 or 3-courses for £35,
The Restaurant Lunch Set Menu can be ordered on Friday and Saturday and is available from 12-2.30pm.

Encouraging a cheaper and earlier dining option for the highly coveted upstairs dining room, the lunch menu will see the introduction of some exciting new dishes plus a few of their classics we know you've been waiting to try.
Here's a couple we suggest...

To start, enjoy dishes such as the
Jerusalem Artichoke (with confit york, hen of the woods mushrooms and pine) and the
Sauced Mackerel (with golden raisin, soft herbs, split cream, radish and apple).

Mains include the delicious
Roasted Duck served with black quinoa, umeboshi, young leeks and lovage (cooked on fire until perfectly tender) and the
Pan Fried Halibut (with pomme puree, marrow, verjus, fennel and jersey cream).
New to the dessert menu and in true Edinburgh Castle style, chef Julien Pizer has combined sweet with savoury with the delicious
Green Apple.

Served with sheep's milk, thyme, fennel and olive oil and like nothing you've tasted before - please just try it, then thank us later.
