BAKERIE bread & wine bar is the latest addition to Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Serving delicious freshly baked bread alongside home cooked fare ranging from hearty dishes such as beef bourguignon and Bakerie rarebit to a selection of fantastic sandwiches, salads and our now infamous Bakerie boards filled with cheese, meat, fish and vegetarian and vegan options.
BAKERIE has an eclectic wine selection of over 70 bottles to choose from as well as some great real ales and continental lagers. They also select wines and bin ends handpicked from our store on a weekly basis which are displayed on chalkboards in the restaurant.
BAKERIE is a friendly and unpretentious venue situated on Lever Street, it houses communal benches making it the perfect place to sit break bread share wine and pass the time. There are more intimate tables for two and three large booths available for private hire. BAKERIE offers a chilled-out vibe with some great music. It has become so popular it is now advisable to book tables Thurs-Sat as we fill to capacity very quickly. We now offer wine tasting events, bread making classes and guest chef ticketed events.
A family friendly venue with a toddler menu available until 7pm. Bakerie menu is also suitable for gluten, dairy free and vegan diners.
Following the success of Bakerie bread & wine bar which opened its doors at the end of 2011 the hotly anticipated tasting store has now taken flight. Bakerie tasting store sits at the back of the bread & wine bar in the award winning building The Hive.
Serving quality wines and freshly baked bread to take home and offering small plates of food and wine in the store (self service) this unique concept also houses Manchester’s first wine dispenser and preservation system ‘By The Glass’. By the Glass is a wine serving system which preserves opened bottles for at least two weeks in perfect condition allowing them to offer some high end wines as well as more complex or unusual bottles for people to try before they buy.
Wine tasting events and bread baking classes also take place in the store all in all making Bakerie a really exciting new concept for Manchester.
