Yesterday we had a walk round preview to see the work that’s begun on one of the largest sites in Spinningfields, Tattu bar & restaurant. Tattu is being formed around an ethos of creating a dining/drinking experience that is #permanentlyunique. One that changes with every visit with a focus on “U”.

The food offering at Tattu will be Modern Chinese with an emphasis on innovative Dim Sum, designed by acclaimed London based executive chef Andrew Lassetter (of Cocoon (London), Kyashii (London), Bungalow 8 (New York, London), Circus (London) and Eight over Eight (London) to name a few). The menu will be a unique addition to Manchester’s ever expanding culinary scene and aim to bring diners something completely new and exciting.

To complement the food is an extensive and varied cocktail menu designed by good friends of mine and world class drinks experts the team behind Elixir, Manchester’s best cocktail bar, so expect very visual and well made drinks!

With an overall investment of £2.5 Million the split level venue will house three separate areas spread over two floors with the main restaurant on the mezzanine level overlooking the floor below. Each area has its own separate identity, all however draw influence from the main visual inspiration behind the concept which is the beauty of Body-Art. From the sounds of it Tattu will be an incredibly eye-catching restaurant with a completely bespoke interior design, brought to life by designer Edwin Pickett (of Australasia, Neighbourhood). We have even seen sneak peeks of furniture that have been custom designed in New York to demonstrate a commitment to being completely unique.

With a target launch date of late April make sure you follow their social media accounts @tattumcr to keep up to date with all their progress and developments.

Head to www.tattu.co.uk to sign up for the soft opening (dates to be confirmed) where you can be amongst the first to dine at Tattu with the added bonus of 50% off food!
