After closing its doors for good back in August, award-winning Chorlton eatery, Peck & Yard bid an emotional farewell before hinting at potential plans for a new venture.
Fast forward a mere month later and the restaurant has announced the launch of Shogun Ramen and Bar, a brand new restaurant that will serve traditional ramen and sushi right in its beloved Chorlton location.
Speaking of the new venture, the restaurant said: “Why ramen? It was one of the choices we had available before Peck N Yard and with the times we’re in, we thought why not go back to the original idea and give this one last shot, to bring life back to our lovely restaurant.
“We always loved ramen and we hope you guys will love it too.”
The new concept will be completely different to what Peck & Yard was formally known for, originally serving up baskets of Pan Asian fried chicken alongside various sides and dipping sauces.
Now, you can expect hearty bowls of broth and noodles, freshly rolled sushi and a newly refurbished, atmospheric dining area for late night dining, drinking and food discovery.
Shogun Ramen and Bar is hosting a soft launch this Friday at 5pm and guests are invited down to the venue to sample food from the new menu, which will also provide vegetarian, vegan and halal options.
You’ll find the restaurant at the same location of its former Peck & Yard site.
