North Brewing Co, the independent Leeds-based brewery, is growing this year with North Taproom: Circle Square situated next to the bustling Oxford Road in Manchester.

Opening in late 2022, the new taproom is North’s 10th venue, in a city that has provided inspiration and excitement over the years. Attracted by the independent spirit of Manchester and its vibrant brewing, events and hospitality scene, the North team are delighted to be making Manchester their new home.

Renowned for its alternative approach, quirky style and excellent, friendly service, North Taproom: Circle Square will showcase the brewery’s extensive core range, alongside an ever-changing line-up of beers, wines, cocktails, ciders and spirits from eclectic local and international producers.

A menu of contemporary Asian street food will be served up from early till late by fellow Leeds-based brand, Little Bao Boy, who will have a permanent residency at the taproom.

Located minutes from Oxford Road station in the exciting new Circle Square development, North Brewing Co Manchester will be housed in a modern glass building, creating a light and airy space.

The 2,590 sq ft taproom will seat 100 covers inside, with room for an additional 30 standing guests. An extensive outdoor seating area overlooks the green event space at Circle Square.

With 24 draught lines, including 18 lines of keg beer (and 1 cask), pouring North’s ever-evolving range of core beers, specials and collabs, guests will get a chance to sample the whole menu.

On the taps guests can enjoy house made negronis, a rotating selection of cocktail lines, as well as wine and fizz. A small, but perfectly curated line up of wines by the bottle will also be available, showcasing natural wine producers.

John Gyngell, co-founder and director said: “Our new bar in Manchester marks a huge milestone for all of us at North. We’ve  actually been looking for a Manchester site for the last 25 years and have come very  close a number of times! Many of the North team have lived, worked or studied in  Manchester, and we make a habit of visiting as regularly as possible. The hospitality  scene in Manchester has provided tonnes of inspiration over the years, and we can’t  wait to bring North to the city.”

Chief Operating Officer of Vita Group, Max Bielby said: “We are delighted to sign with North Brewing Co who will act as a real draw for the  development, bringing in new audiences and driving footfall for Circle Square as  visitors take in everything this great destination has to offer.”
