Opening in Rawtenstall back in 2018 with the promise of “the perfect brew” – Siphon Espresso & Brew Bar has been extremely popular with locals – and is set to arrive in the Northern Quarter very soon.

Taking over a brand-new unit in the bit near Go Falafel and Empire Exchange, Siphon will be bringing years of experience and some serious dedication to the NQ, and a focus on brewing coffee in new and novel ways.

Siphon are renowned for using a range of slow filter systems when brewing their coffee, and alongside meticulously measured coffee-to-water ratios – they promise to produce the perfect brew.

Opening up on Rawtenstall’s famous cobbled Bank Street in 2018, Siphon has become massively popular in the market town, a key addition to the thriving independent scene in the area.

With their new location on Newton Street, they’ll be looking to continue their outstanding coffees, and range of cakes (including vegan), freshly baked goods, as well as a menu of snacks and sandwiches – perfect for a quick lunch during the week.

Their coffee will be provided by the local roasters at Ancoats Coffee Co and there is also a large selection of loose leaf teas.

Signage is up at the new Siphon location, but we’ve not got much more information on an official opening date. Best thing to do is to follow them on Instagram for updates…
