There is nothing more nostalgic for me than the
sound and feeling of cracking an Easter Egg open. I remember hiding under my bed with my (and probably my brothers) horde of eggs gorging myself into ecstasy.
Alas, it is no longer socially acceptable to eat nothing but Easter eggs for 72 hours, and I do not want to end up in a diabetic coma, but
The Counter House has a bit of a middle ground.

On Easter Sunday, they will be giving out a
FREE dessert which pays homage to the pleasure of an Easter egg and I have been lucky enough to try it.
Naturally, it is
chocolate based with a hard shell which is just desperate for you to tap your spoon so you can smash it open in the most satisfying way.

Inside is a
light chocolate mousse with
strawberry mousse and jam. Just in case it wasn’t nostalgic enough – I thought it tasted just like a Wagon Wheel!
This delicious dessert will be
completely free when you dine at The Counter House this Easter Sunday. Book your table now to avoid disappointment.
