Since it exploded onto Manchester’s sandwich scene at the end of last year, people have been going crazy for Fat Pat’s packed subs that take inspiration from the delis and street-food scene of New York City.
The sandwich specialists have now announced that, alongside their brand-new city centre take-out location, they’re starting a monthly supper club at Foundation Coffee in Northern Quarter.
Beginning on Wednesday 29th June, the supper club will see Fat Pat’s host a menu of sliders and subs, with a brand-new Hot Honey Fried Chicken slider making the cut, too.
It’s already popular Philly Cheesesteak sub is on the supper club menu, which is a sandwich that uses only prime house ribeye steak that’s then thinly sliced and grilled. It’s loaded with caramelised onions, cheese and finally finished off with crispy shallots.
Vegetarians will also be taken care of, as the second sub guests can choose from is the Eggplant Muffuletta. This sandwich is stuffed with panko crumb eggplant cutlets, pesto, mozzarella, artichoke, marinated peppers, wild rocket, parmesan, sun-dried tomatoes, sweet balsamic and loads of fresh herbs.
Guests will then get the chance to pair each sub or slider with Fat Pat’s Ziggy Fries, and a choice of Garlic Parm, Montreal or Butter Chicken Sauce, alongside speciality drinks and cocktails from the team at Foundation, including a Flat White Russian.
Fat Pat’s monthly Foundation supper club will operate on a first come first serve basis and the first event will take place on Wednesday 29th June at 6pm. The evening will be soundtracked by a DJ, who will provide a fitting soundtrack sure to transport you to the underground NYC scene.
Fat Pat’s is currently occupying a space on Portland Street where you can pre-order and pick up its packed subs from 12pm – 2pm Monday – Sunday and 6pm – 8pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Its new supper club site will be the only space where you can enjoy its food in a sit down environment, alongside a great range of drinks and music from some of Manchester’s up and coming DJs.
