Talking about ice cream, as temperatures hit the minuses, is not the most immediately obvious topic of conversation. But we received exciting news earlier today, when we found out that Tib Street’s Lazy Sundae has scooped a second location inside the Arndale.

After opening its doors on Tib Street back in May 2021, the brand has become a go-to destination for a pick me up in the sunshine, with an expansive colour palette of ice cream flavours.

Becoming well-known for its internationally inspired menu of desserts – incorporating flavours from Bali, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Thailand, with ingredients such as pandan, matcha and miso – Lazy Sundae’s menu includes artisan ice creams, cookies, souffle pancakes, shakes, and a range of bubble teas.

With the new store set to comprise 1,305 sq ft space on a 10-year lease, there’s plenty of scope for them to further expand their food and drink offering too.

After a successful two years for the business, the arrival of the Arndale store marks the start of the brand’s nationwide growth plans. A spokesperson for Lazy Sundae said: “We’re very excited to be joining Manchester Arndale as the site will form the flagship store for our expansion. And customers will be transported to far corners of the world through our travel-inspired offerings.”

Lazy Sundae will sit alongside other new food and beverage brands inside the Arndale, including Creams, Slim Chickens, Waffle Island, Pan n Ice, and more.

Scott Linard, portfolio director at M&G Real Estate, said: “We place great importance in having a truly mixed offer and it’s fantastic to be able to support local brands as they expand.”
