It was a dark day for many when live music venue, bar and club Jimmy’s shut their doors back in 2019 – a casualty of some development works on the old building at the bottom of Newton Street in the Northern Quarter.

Well, Jimmy’s has announced that they’re BACK, opening their doors in a new Ancoats location on Friday 13th August.

Their new home, a beautiful red-brick building on the corner of Blossom Street on Cutting Room Square is set to be the “go-to place for an authentic Rock ‘N’ Roll musical atmosphere in Manchester”. Set over 2 floors, they promise not just drinking and live music this time, but also dining!

From Saturday 14th August they’ll be opening from 10am for ““Jimmy’s Famous Bottomless Brunch” which is served until 3pm and followed by a “Rock ‘N’ Roll BBQ” from 5pm ‘til late! Food bookings are essential.

From Sunday 15th August they’ll be starting the day in style, serving up a bangin’ Sunday Roast menu between 12pm – 6pm.

It’ll be great to have Jimmy’s back in the city again, it was always a top night out and proved to be a valuable venue space for up-and-coming bands and performers. It’ll be interesting to see what they do with the food too – we’ll head down once it’s open and let you know what it’s like.
