More than 40 independent makers and food traders will be heading to New Jackson for the Manchester Made festive market next month, powered by Renaker.

Taking place over three days, stalls including everything from homewares to festive gifts will be set up in the public space at the foot of the Deansgate Square towers from 6 to 8 December.

With a 20-person choir providing a Christmas soundtrack, there will be great things to buy, eat and drink, with the square decorated with Christmas trees, festoon lights and cosy tipis.

Manchester Gin will be among those providing the festive drinks, along with sweet treats from Gooey, and a stall from Millington Hall Farm in Altrincham which will be bringing its ‘Wild Grill’ experience including live sausage making demonstrations and German sausages served from a festive BBQ trailer.

For the younger visitors, there will also be an enchanting Christmas grotto, where Father Christmas will be waiting in a cosy baby tipi. Kids will receive a gift from Santa, and bookings can be made online for £8.50 per child.

The Grotto will be open from 4.30pm to 7.30pm Saturday and Sunday.

Among the traders confirmed will be award-winning hot sauce makers The Cole Men, handmade jewellery from Moon & Sixpence, fine art photography by Craig Barker, plus Root 2 Ginger with their premium ginger drinks.

The market is free to attend, with a limited guest list where visitors can pre-register for free and enjoy 50% off a hot chocolate to warm you up on arrival.

The market is open from 4pm to 9pm on Friday 6 December, and 1pm to 9pm on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December.
