As part of the ongoing £3.5m transformation of MediaCity’s Central Bay, a major update has been announced. Salford brewing legends, SEVEN BRO7HERS Brewing Co., are launching a new bar and microbrewery in the late summer. The venue, dubbed ’11 Central’ after the founders’ seven brothers and four sisters, promises a fusion of food, drink, live music, bar games, and breathtaking waterside views from its expansive 2,000 square foot terrace.

True to the sibling founders’ ethos and their father’s home brewing legacy, ’11 Central’ will serve artisan beer brewed in Salford, where the family grew up and where some still reside. The on-site microbrewery is set to offer limited-edition beers, freshly brewed just metres away from the bar.

In a move to please gin aficionados, the SISTERS DISTILLERY will also feature prominently at ’11 Central,’ offering its award-winning range of flavoured gins and artisan tonics. Furthermore, the SISTERS DISTILLERY will host gin distilling sessions, providing a unique experience for those interested in learning the craft of gin-making.

CEO of SEVEN BRO7HERS Brewing Co., Keith McAvoy, shared his enthusiasm for the project, expressing that this new venture allows the company to create a “diverse, theatre-led experience.” He noted that the project holds particular significance for the family, with the location being close to their original family home and their grandfathers being former Salford Docks workers.

Stephen Wild, Managing Director for MediaCity, described the addition of ’11 Central’ to Central Bay as a “pleasure” and emphasised their potential to make a significant impact on MediaCity and its visitors.

The Central Bay project, set to launch in the summer of 2023, will house four independent restaurants, 20 kitchens, indie markets, live music performances, and a recreation space for children over it’s 25,000 square foot space. The Blend Family, renowned for their award-winning food halls, has been commissioned to manage and develop the food hall ‘Kargo’ and the street vendor section ‘Kargo Mkt,’ in homage to the area’s historical significance during the industrial revolution.
