Ancoats General Store will welcome Napoli-inspired sandwich specialists MIRA from Wednesday 2nd March.
MIRA’s residency marks the return to a revolving street food roster at Ancoats General Store so customers can look forward to independent street food vendors popping up more regularly as per the store’s pre-pandemic format.
To celebrate their opening, MIRA are giving away FREE SANDWICHES all day on their opening day from 8am – 4pm (or until they’re all gone).
MIRA who have built up a large and loyal fanbase for their trademark ‘Cuzzetiello’ sandwiches will be serving up some of their classics on opening day before expanding the menu to include Wildcard specials in future.
The Cuzzetiello is a cult staple in Napoli street food cuisine and originates from the act of tearing the end off a loaf of fresh bread before scooping up home cooked ragu fresh off the stove.
After stumbling across the Cuzzetiello on a holiday in Napoli, MIRA owners Mike and Rhea fell in love with the rich flavours, culture and history behind it, and felt compelled to bring it home with them. In keeping with Napoli traditions, MIRA’s menu is rooted in old school Neapolitan recipes.
MIRA was born in May 2021 after a lockdown full of recipe testing, and the team enjoyed seven months at The Crown and Kettle in Ancoats, before deciding it was time for something new.
Now at Ancoats General Store for 3 months, MIRA is celebrating by giving away free sandwiches ALL DAY on their first day of trade – from opening until they’re gone!
The giveaway will start as soon as the doors are open with breakfast sarnies up for grabs followed by main menu Cuzzetielli all day long. Sandwich lovers should mark the date in their diary to get down to Ancoats General Store – because when they’re gone, they’re gone!
