Offering a relaxed, modern European influenced menu alongside established comfort classics, restaurant and bar, People is set to open this month in Hale.

The laid-back eatery has been developed by the team behind the award-winning Don Giovanni led by Adam Karim, who has invested half a million pounds into the site.

People will be open seven days a week, 9am – late, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner alongside an extensive menu of hand-crafted cocktails, Laurent Perrier Rose champagne by the glass and craft beers.

The menu will feature dishes including Sustainable Scottish Oysters with Pickled Shallots, Shawarma spiced Cauliflower Steak and a Josper Charcoal Grill smoking a selection of 56-day dry aged British Beef Steaks. There will also be a Sunday Roast Dinner menu, a variety of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free offerings plus a full children’s menu.

Opening on Ashley Road in the heart of Hale Village, People will feel luxurious yet welcoming with prestigious Venetian polished plaster and bronzed wood panelling.

Designed by a team of industry leaders offering a relaxed, intimate style setting with luxe deco influences for the Terrazo table tops during the daytime then switching to a more formal vibe for the evening diners with crisp, white linen, opulent place settings and the finest tableware.

The herringbone wooden flooring and upcycled teak art deco furniture pieces bring together this stunning 80 cover restaurant with space for another 50 covers in the bar area and outside seating for up to 30.

Keen to support fellow North West businesses, People are using many local suppliers including sourcing all their beef from Althams in Macclesfield, Great Northern Pie Co. are supplying the pies, their artisan bread comes directly from Altrincham Market and the all-important ice cream is from Grandpa Greene’s in Oldham.

Adam and his team have a wealth of experience behind some of the top names in Manchester and European hospitality and they’re looking forward to bringing that know-how to Hale.

Speaking of the opening, Adam said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming the Hale residents and visitors into People and becoming part of this thriving community. We will be serving the finest, freshest produce within exquisite yet friendly surroundings, which I’ve no doubt this village will appreciate as much as myself and the team appreciate the chance to bring our experience to this thriving area.”
