With a name like ‘Tikka Chance on Me‘ you could probably expect a couple of puns to be flying about – such as ‘Does your Naan-a Know?‘, ‘The Winner Takes the Dahl‘ and ‘Aloo, Aloo, Aloo‘. But you won’t. Sorry.

I’m pretty proud of myself for coming up with those – I didn’t even use Google to do it either. Anyway, there’s only one ABBA-related pun here – but don’t let that put you off at all.

Tikka Chance On Me is the brainchild of Michael Anderson, an Irish Mancunian who was working in Logistics until last year when he decided to jack it all in and pursue his lifelong dream of running his own food business. As a result – Tikka Chance On Me was born.

Sticky Tamarind Wings

Taking inspiration from the vast array of Indian ingredients and regional dishes that Michael has always loved, he’s come up with an impressive menu of treats, from traditional curries to dishes that are a little more unique.

There’s the Sticky Tamarind Wings (£6); with a sweet and spicy glaze and the Poha Pakora (£5); which are Indian fried dumplings stuffed with vegetables, rice and spices.

Mmmm Curry!

Alongside the UK’s national dish (Chicken Tikka Masala £8), you’ll also find a hearty Lamb Kofta Curry (£8), a Potato & Aubergine Curry (£8) and a delicacy from Sri Lanka – Black Pork Curry (£8) which consists of a pork shoulder cooked with tamarind, coconut and black pepper.

The menu also features some pretty special Masala Potatoes (£4); which come smothered in a rich and spicy tomato sauce, Aloo and Mutton Samosas (both £3.50) and a range of rices, bhajis and breads.

This week saw Tikka Chance On Me open up their new delivery service, where you can get your orders in to Micheal and he’ll deliver your fresh delights every Saturday. Lovely stuff!
