Opening up just before lockdown must have been hard. Like, really, really hard. There are a few businesses in the city who were unfortunate enough for this to happen, but instead of just thinking “screw it!”, they’ve worked twice as hard to get their name out there.

One such place is Sicilian NQ over on Turner Street. They only arrived at the beginning of the year and even though they only moved from their Hilton Street Cafe – they still didn’t have much time to establish themselves before they had to shut up shop.

Luckily for us, and for them, and for everyone though, they’re now offering up collection and takeaway from outside their gaff, serving up a long list of Sicilian dishes that are truly excellent, and well worth a visit.

Supporting a local independent AND getting fed?! Count me in. So what have they got then?

As I said, the menu is extensive, starting with large Antipasti Sharing Platters before going onto Sicilian Street Food (wonderful stuffed Arancino balls) and Mains. You shouldn’t forget their desserts either – their Cannolo are some of the best in the city.

So head on over to GoodEats to check out their menu and arrange for a collection. You won’t regret it…
