This little beauty has been open for 30 years, and it's going nowhere!

Many people swear by This n That, others Kabana, but for me – Cafe Marhaba is where it’s at.

Not only is it closer to my office, and directly opposite Mother Macs for a pint after your kebab, but the food is fantastic, the fellas in there are a right laugh and they also have their very own Tandoori oven – meaning their breads and meats are always charred to perfection.

They’re now open for takeaway service, offering up a varied menu of meat and veg curries, kebabs, samosas and more.

One of my most favourite things is to pop in with a hangover, wolf down a rice and three with a naan bread and a couple of samosas on the side and then have a swift few in Mother Macs on my way back to the office.

If you’ve never been I implore you to give it a go – not only will you get ample change from a tenner – you’ll also be so full that you’ll do that fat guy waddle all the way home.
