I’ve always marvelled at how lucky we are in Manchester to have such a wide range of cuisines available, with the majority of the more ‘niche’ ones absolutely smashing it out of the park.
With Caribbean grub – we’re spoilt for choice both in the city centre and further afield. Personal favourite Kool Runnings is always delectable over on Chorlton Road, Sunrise in Cheetham Hill is outstanding, and then there’s the always reliable Jerk Shack, Eat n Sweet and Pull Up in the city centre.
One which you might not have heard of though is Rads, a rather small establishment in Ancoats that have been serving up hearty, spicy (and huge) Caribbean dishes to the people of the area for years.
Well, they’re back! Because they’re not a sit-in venue they are free to re-open their shutter and get the Jerk Chicken and Saltfish prepared once more – and we’re all the happier for it.
Open Monday – Friday from 9.30am til 6pm, you can’t go wrong with one of their £6 Lunch Boxes – they’ll sort you right out in seconds. Head on over to their social channels for all of the information you could ever desire.
