Set to take over The Crown & Kettle for four days this week, THE BIG POUR MCR is a free festival featuring 14 breweries with a whopping 42 beers for you to try.

Taking place from Thursday 30th September to Sunday 3rd October,  whether you’re partial to a sour beer, if IPA is your go-to tipple or you prefer to keep it simple with a nice cold pint of lager, you’ll find a favourite here I’m sure.

Some of the city’s biggest and best breweries will be showcasing their drinks, including Seven Brothers, the Alphabet Brewing Company, Manchester Union Brewery, and ShinDigger as well as other local gems such as Squawk Brewing Company, Track Brewery and Wander Beyond Brewing.

You can’t have beer without food either, so The Big Pour MCR are putting on a bit of a spread with the help of Mira, who’ll be serving up classic Napoli inspired dishes such as cuzzetiello sandwiches, pizza bites and fries – the perfect food to be washed down with a cold pint.

There will also be a good old fashioned game of bingo (beer themed, of course) courtesy of the Instagram sensation, Pints of Manchester.
