Acclaimed tapas restaurant, El Gato Negro, has injected further flavour into its menu with a number of exciting new dishes. The menu refresh, developed by Chef Patron Simon Shaw, sees several additions to the tapas menu. New dishes include pig cheeks with parsley root and apple puree, and morcilla, fillet of hake with jamon, peas, broad beans and asparagus and spiced aubergine with onion confit, fritarda sauce and lavosh bread – Middle Eastern flat bread.

Making a return to the menu for summer is the chargrilled onglet steak with patatas a lo pobre and gillardeau oysters with yuzu juice, wasabi tobiko and pickled cucumber – both popular favourites. For those on limited time, a new lunchtime menu ‘Rápido’ features some of the restaurant’s most popular dishes, from Catalan bread with olive oil, garlic and fresh tomato, tiger prawns with chilli, garlic and lemon butter and chargrilled sweet potato with mango, chilli and yogurt dressing all served in express time.
