The restaurant will serve simple but delicious food from the grill and will boast one of Manchester’s most inspired selections of craft beers and natural wines.

Erst was created as an outlet for the team’s desire to push beyond the brunch offering at Trove.

The wine list showcases vintages selected from small producers from around the world, who care for the fruit and the land it’s grown on, using organic and often biodynamic practices.

From the grill comes naturally leavened flatbreads made in house served with whipped lardo, grilled whole mackerel, monk’s beard and wild garlic aioli.

The Bar menu includes smoked almonds, wild fennel saucisson, along with anchovy za’atar and Bergamot – perfect with a glass of crisp Augustiner lager.

Inspired by the industrial architecture of the neighbouring building Murray Mills which the restaurant windows look out on, high ceilings with an exposed concrete floor giving a sense of space, with a bute wool bench and European oak tables creating a sense of nature and comfort.

The ample bar seating brings diners close to the action of the open kitchen along the stainless steel topped bar; the perfect place to get a behind-the-scenes experience.

Erst is open from Wednesday – Friday 6 pm – 10:30 pm, Saturday 3pm-10.30pm and Sunday 3pm-6pm.
