Brunch is now officially ‘a thing’. Whoever decided that they needed to have another meal between a bowl of Shreddies and a wafer-thin ham butty is clearly a hero.
I’m pleased to announce that many of the city’s Bottomless Brunch offerings are now back after lockdown…
La Bandera’s Spanish Bottomless Brunch
Our favourite independent Spanish restaurant have re-launched their bottomless brunch offering and it’s better than ever. For £32.50 you get their massive sharing platter of Spanish cheese and meat, 3 tapas and bottomless Cava or beer for 90 minutes. There’s plenty of classic dishes to choose from too including Patatas Bravas, Spanish meatballs, Calamari, Chorizo in red wine and croquettes. Add bottomless Cava or lager and you’ve got yourself one of the best bottomless brunch experiences of your life. It’s on every Saturday and Sunday between 11am and 4pm.

The Pen & Pencil
Northern Quarter, exposed brick-toting, bar and restaurant Pen and Pencil have decided to get in on the act by offering an All Inclusive Free Flow Brunch for anyone tough enough to want it. For £40 you can have as many drinks and as much food as you can stuff in your pie hole, although they are keen to stress that it should only be one drink and dish per person at any one time. So on the last Saturday of each month from 10am to 1pm you can head down and take advantage of this generous offer. The booze on offer includes the usual suspects of Prosecco, Bloody Marys, Mimosas, lager and cocktails.

Elnecot Bottomless Brunch
This Ancoats staple is a true wonder when it comes to their weekend brunch offering with some absolutely banging dishes on the menu. There’s their Shakshuka which is easily one of the best in the city, the stuffed Breakfast Sandwich, the classic Full English and my favourite – the Crispy Pork Belly which is world-class. With any one of these brunch dishes you can choose to have bottomless booze for 2 hours for just £25. Th booze includes Prosecco (obviously), Lager and a selection of cocktails. Lovely stuff.

Gaucho Electro Brunch
It may sound like an Ibiza-fuelled nightmare for some, but there are plenty of people out there who will absolutely love a “fusion of cool beats, melodic tunes and bassy rhythms” while shovelling food and booze into their faces. Gaucho’s Electro Brunch is £55 and for this you get unlimited dishes and drinks, including Bloody Marys, Aperol Spritz, lager and sparkling wine. There’s a big long list of delicious dishes to choose from too – my favourites include the Brisket Muffin, a sexy Burrata cheese and the classic Bacon butty.
The offer is available every Saturday between 11am and 4pm.
Gaucho, 2A St Mary’s St, Manchester M3 2LB
Flight Club Brunch Social
If you’re celebrating something, or just fancy a very extra weekend, Flight Club has one of the most exciting brunches we’ve ever seen. Not only does every group get given a bottle of Prosecco PER GUEST, but the team will keep the pizza paddles flowing til you’re filled. And, of course, a designated sesh on the dart boards. Prosecco, pizza and darts doesn’t sound like the average weekend, it sounds like a bloody one. At £25-£30 per person, you get way more than you give, and unlimited pizza really is the gift that keeps on giving. What else are weekends for?
Flight Club, Ship Canal House, 98 King St, Manchester M2 4WU
There’s one very important thing to note about the brunch at Banyan, and that’s the fact that you get bottomless drinks TWICE. Let me explain. You choose a brunch dish, and then someone comes over with a bottle of Prosecco and fills your glass. THEN that same person takes your drinks order, where you can get cocktails (Aperol Spritz please) or beers. It great. The food is excellent too – exactly what you need when it’s your birthday or your mate has just got engaged or you’re just bored.

The Bay Horse Tavern Bottomless Brunch
The Bay Horse Tavern have introduced a brilliant Bottomless Brunch to help you get over your hangover on the weekend. They’ve got all of your breakfast favourites including the Full English (which was sublime I should add), Smoked Salmon & Scrambled Eggs and everyone’s flavour of the month – Avocado & Poached Egg on Toast. Drinks wise – they offer Prosecco, Bloody Mary, Irish Coffee, Mimosa, House Wine, Bottled Beer or Hot & Cold Soft Drinks. Brilliant.

Cottonopolis Bottomless Japanese Brunch
Cottonopolis have revised and renewed their Brunch offering since re-opening in May, and luckily for us all – it also includes a Bottomless Drinks option. All you need to do is choose a minimum of TWO items from their menu, which includes Prawn, Avocado & Caviar Dragon Rolls, Beef Tskune Bao Buns and Pork & Prawn Sesame Toast (to name a few) and then it’s £25 for bottomless drinks. There’s a premium drinks package for £35 which also includes cocktails, including the always reliable Espresso Martini.

Crazy Pedro’s Every Day Bottomless Brunch
A bottomless brunch every single day?! Surely that’s pure madness. And you’d be mostly right – but when has Pedro’s even not been a little bit of a maverick when it comes to eating and drinking? Basically, you can head on down to Pedro’s any day before 7pm and order their Bottomless option which comes with unlimited slices and booze for just £25 per person. It’s that easy. You can make bookings for it on the weekend too – which is probably advised considering how busy it gets.
