Neon Tiger, most well-known for its evening ambience and North-Thailand influenced dishes, has announced a brand-new ‘Neon Diner’ concept that launches this Wednesday.
Operating during the daytime, Neon Diner sees the restaurant offer a menu of brunch and lunch dishes that are never too far away from the restaurant’s unique fusion of Asian flavour combinations, while also taking inspiration from the proper British caff.
For example, the satay peanut butter and plum jam on sourdough toast (£5.50) is bound to be an addictive spin on the famous American classic, and the innovation doesn’t stop there.
Joining the breakfast items, guests will also be able to try Chiang Mai sausage, fried eggs and mushrooms on sourdough (£11) and red curry sausage, egg omelette, American cheese and spicy Sriracha ketchup atop a bun (£7.50) – two dishes that aren’t likely to be found anywhere else in the city.
From 12pm – 4pm, Neon Diner will then transform into a must-visit sandwich deli, offering its line-up of lunch options that features indulgently fresh breads stuffed with a range of fillings.
For example, crispy pork belly, spicy vegetable salad, coriander and kewpie mayo can be enjoyed inside either a muffin (£5.50) or sub (£11), as well as tempura and sauteed mushrooms, crispy onions, aubergine relish and soy sauce.
Roast topside of beef, crispy onions, American cheese and miso butter (£6 on a muffin and £12 on a sub) also makes the menu, which can be ordered alongside a red curry dipping sauce and traditional tempura Vegetable Fritters. All items are also available to eat in or take out.
There’s a range of drinks for diners to accompany their brunch and lunch items with, too. From all types of coffees to freshly squeezed orange juice and hot chocolates, guests can also enjoy a cocktail alongside the dishes for an afternoon tipple.
The weekend will see Neon Diner offer Bottomless Bloody Mary’s and Prosecco.
