From wholesome walks to intriguing cocktail and costume parties, via live music and murder mysteries – if you don’t already have Manchester Halloween plans, you do now.
Halloween In The City 2025
The monsters are back! Halloween In The City prepares to once again take over Manchester’s shopping streets with a colourful monster rooftop invasion and frighteningly fun activities scattered all over town. From pumpkin lanterns in the trees to free, live performances and the huge parade, there’s something for everyone across the seven-day celebration. Hosted by Manchester City Centre Business Improvement District, families are urged to go all out with their Halloween costumes and take part in the UK’s biggest city centre Halloween celebration, filled with larger-than-life entertainment and unmissable spooky spectacles.
Halloween at Quarry Bank
Things get spooky at Quarry Bank this October as they open a new Halloween trail for 2025. Produced by the same team as Christmas at Dunham Massey, Halloween at Quarry Bank returns with a spine-tingling night of thrills, chills, and glowing surprises. From Thursday 23 October to Saturday 1 November, join family and friends to wander from dusk into darkness and remember, the darker it gets, the spookier it gets. Prepare to face glowing fire spheres, catacombs with whispers of the past, a mesmerising laser garden and a thrilling fire show by daring performers.
Baked A La Ska – Halloween
The legendary Baked A La Ska take their bloodied chainsaw to your most loved spooky classics at Band on the Wall for their storied annual Halloween dress-up mash-up. Expect hits from the spookiest ska record ever made, aka ‘Skalloween’, with fancy dress very much encouraged. Head down to the historic NQ venue on 31 October and bring your best skank.
Oldham Halloween Half Marathon
Not just scary because of its rugged inclines, the Oldham Halloween Half Marathon is a real favourite for thrill-seekers. The 13.1-mile course is one of the toughest half marathons in the country, with a hilly route attracting running clubs, charities, businesses and locals every year. Plus, there’s plenty of stunning scenery to take in, whether you’re participating or observing. Fancy dress is optional.
Merseyday of the Dead
Stockport is set to come alive with spooky celebrations on Saturday 25 October as the town transforms into a vibrant carnival at Merseyway and Redrock for the ‘Merseyday of the Dead’ (very good). Inspired by the traditions of Dia de los Muertos and blended with a sprinkle of Halloween mischief, the event will be filled with free family-friendly fun, from dazzling trick-or-treat trails to sugar skull crafts, glitter makeovers, parades, games and a disco for dancing skeletons of all ages.
Murder Mystery Dinner
Step into mystery and mischief with an immersive Murder Mystery Dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, Pip. Guests will become part of the story, solving clues and twists while enjoying a specially curated multi-course menu by acclaimed chef Mary-Ellen McTague. There’s a complimentary drink on arrival, and another one if you come in costume.
Howl-o-ween Dog Walk and Brunch
Head down to the Treehouse Hotel Manchester for a spooktacular, dog‑friendly walk followed by a relaxed ‘howl‑o‑ween’ (sorry) brunch at Pip. Expect adorable costumes, paw‑some prizes, and cosy autumn vibes. Brunch includes seasonal plates, veggie/vegan options; pup treats & water bowls – so everybody’s happy.
Halloween Flix Film Club
Get cosy this spooky season at Treehouse Hotel, and catch up with your favourite seasonal flicks. The hotel’s 43-seat screening room, Flix, presents a Halloween film programme including The Lost Boys and Hocus Pocus. Tickets are just £5 per person, offering 4K projection and Dolby Atmos surround sound for a premium cinematic experience.
Hallo-weekender 2025
Manchester’s biggest creative playground is back with its annual Halloween spectacular. Now in its third year, Diecast has become one of the city’s essential party destinations – an industrial nightlife wonderland between Piccadilly and Ancoats – and this Halloween, they’re going all out. Over two nights you can experience two different terrifying worlds. Club Leno transforms into an electrified graveyard rave, shadowy figures, morbid ghouls and tormented spirits from beyond the grave, while the Brooklyn Beer Hall becomes a monster-filled mash-up of comedy and carnage, step into a world of monster movie madness. New York-inspired pizzas from Leno, Bavarian steins in the Beer Hall, and cocktails with a spooky twist abound.
Chotto Experiment
Taking place across the Halloween weekend (31st October-1st November), the Chotto Experiment will transform the 20,000 sq. ft venue into a glowing, otherworldly lab, where the lines between cuisine, performance and sci-fi fantasy blur. There’ll be on-theme cocktails, DJs, performances, and outrageous neon. A chicer halloween do would be hard to find.
The Inferno Halloween Party at Sexy Fish
This Halloween, Sexy Fish invites guests to step beyond the veil and descend into ‘The Inferno’ – a one night only experience unleashing a molten-coral underworld where abyssal myth collides with volcanic fantasy, in partnership with Don Julio 1942. The Manchester restaurant will be reborn as a submerged oasis of volcanic fantasy and deep-sea myth. Guests are encouraged to embrace the theme by dressing in ‘Inferno Chic’ – your scariest and sexiest Halloween vibe.
Skullduggery: Year of the Snake Halloween Brunch
Beneath a canopy of toxic green blossoms, Tattu’s DJs will weave hypnotic beats through the air as you enjoy a typically theatrical brunch, with a distinct dark side. Enjoy two waves of unique Chinese-fusion dishes, served alongside a free-flowing cocktail and prosecco package for 90 minutes.
Halloween River Styx at FENIX
FENIX will transform into a Halloween River Styx event, taking inspiration from the mythological river in the Greek Underworld, forming a boundary between the world of the living and the dead. DJs will set the scene, weaving soundscapes to guide guests to the celebration. This will continue on Saturday 1 November with the Moonlight Party Event, a Greek Supper Club experience which will kick off at 10pm promising an after-dark celebration of music, energy and hedonism, complete with spectacular cocktails and plate smashing in true Aegean style.
