The Lowry Hotel will host an exclusive dinner at its riverside restaurant this October, featuring a five course menu and wines from Hambledon, England’s oldest commercial vineyard.

Kicking off at 7.15pm, guests are invited to enjoy drinks and canapés in the hotel’s lounge, followed by the dinner, which commences at 8pm in the private dining room.

With an extremely limited capacity of 20 guests, the evening will be an intimate affair with a focus on great food and wine’s that are steeped in rich history.

The menu features five incredible courses prepared by the Lowry’s expert chefs. To start, guests will be welcomed with chef’s snacks, which feature parmesan and polenta crisps atop pork belly and smoked emulsion, as well as smoked salmon, puff pastry and caviar. A light and airy introduction to the following five courses.

Once seats are taken in the private dining room, the rest of the innovative menu will be served. First up is the Premiere Cuvee Rose, Dosage Zero which features venison tartare, blackberries, pepper, saffron shallots, parsley.

The second course consists of Classic Cuvee, made using brown crab and truffle custard, heart of palm and crème fraiche atop a crumpet, and the third is a hearty roast, pressed and braised lamb shoulder fillet with Manchego toast, radish and courgette.

Rounding off the evening is a Classic Cuvee Rose that features a champagne mousse, crème de cassis, blackcurrant glass and a currant sorbet. A luxurious dessert made to be dined and enjoyed exclusively.

Each course will also be joined by a paired glass of Hambledon wine. Priding itself on a long and rich heritage of innovation in English winemaking, the company was established back in 1952 by Major-General Sir Guy Salisbury-Jones. Since then, it has continued to make premium, delicious wines that make the perfect accompaniment to any opulent occasion.
