With Manchester Christmas Markets already in full swing, merging Market Street into one stagnant sea of Santa hats and disgruntled shoppers, sometimes it’s refreshing when news of an alternative Christmas pop-up is announced.
Taking place this very Sunday (18th December) at Track Brewing’s Taproom just a stone’s throw away from Piccadilly station, the brewery has collaborated with local grocers Bernie’s to host a Produce Market with some of the city’s flourishing independents.
Kicking off at 10.30am until 2pm, the market will be an excellent destination for Christmas food shopping and stocking up ahead of the big day.
Already confirmed for Sunday is Levenshulme’s Isca Wines, who will bring along a range of natural wines from different regions, as well as Northern Cure – a Manchester-based charcuterie business offering up a selection of cured meats.
Also on the line-up this weekend is Stockport Fungi, an urban mushroom farm supplying restaurants and people across the region with fine Fungi. They’ll bring a range of Oyster mushroom grow kits, as well as merch and 2023 workshop vouchers.
And Christmas isn’t complete without a cheese board, so The Crafty Cheese Man will be offering slabs of his very best at the market, as well as his expertise in all things cheese. Also confirmed is Fred’s Hot Sauce, Pantori and Born Chocolate.
Speaking of the market, the organisers said: “We’ve put a list of some of our favourite producers from around Manchester to come together for a very special Produce Market. Come down and stock up before you head home/settle into the Christmas consumption.
“We will also have baked goods and bits from Bernie’s and a little stall of Track specials for beer bundles. Come down and support some of the best indie food and drinks creators in Manchester.”
