You know that saying, ‘I’m so hungry I could eat a *insert animal here*? Well, now you actually can at one Manchester restaurant.

Manc institution Zouk are well-known for their delicious curries, bottomless brunches and beautiful outdoor shisha terrace, but now they’ve gone a step further with their roast offering.

The Indian and Pakistani eatery just off Oxford Road has brought back its popular whole roast lamb.

Yes, an entire roasted lamb cooked in the traditional Baluchi style, served with either pilau rice or jeera, vegetables and their signature spicy gravy.

Presented in its entirety, the moment feels ceremonial when the platter lands on your table, perfect for a special occasion with friends or family.

The price for the whole, locally-sourced lamb starts at £300, but the exact price is based on the weight of the lamb.

We had a lamb that weighed 25kg, which feeds around 10-12 people, but you can order one as big as 35kg for bigger groups and red letter occasions.

The whole lamb is available any time, just make sure you book and give Zouk 48-hours notice before your epic feast to give them time to order, marinate and slow-cook the meat.

Oh, and don’t worry about carving – you’ll get a server at your table slicing all the meat and serving up your plates.

You can book a table at Zouk here.
