Oasis fans can see an exhibition of never-before-seen photographs offering music lovers a walk down memory lane – all the way to 1996! Featuring work from renowned photographer Jon Shard, the exhibition opens the door to a world before online sales, dynamic pricing and frantically refreshing a website to get the hottest ticket in town. The collection of photographs, set to be on show at Kimpton Clocktower and co-curated by the British Culture Archive, will explore scenes of life pre-online ticket sales – with fans excitedly queuing up in the cold winter of 1996, hoping to get their hands on tickets for the band’s sold out shows at Manchester City’s Maine Road stadium, for as little as £17.50 per ticket.
