‘Tis the season to be spooky, and the creators of the the Twilight Trail at Mayfield Park are launching The Halloween Trail at Wilderspool Woods, a 4.5 acre woodland hidden just behind the Trafford Centre.

Taking place from 17 October to 3 November, the trail encompasses a Skeleton Village full of ghoulish creatures, supernatural surprises and a mesmerising light show, so you can expect ghostly goings on around every corner. The interactive experience will also feature laser-filled gardens of mist, a spooky soundtrack by DJ Rasp and glowing LED eyes watching you from the treetops.

Families can get involved in pumpkin carving, marshmallow roasting, a skeleton petting zoo and vibrant skeleton disco. And for the more adventurous, there’s a mysterious Haunted Hotel, and Ye Olde Skeleton Arms, a pub tucked away in the woods. Guests will also encounter Helix, a floating ribbon of sparkling light that weaves through the forest, and The Twist, a psychedelic, corkscrew pathway of mesmerising lights.

Freight Island will provide the top-tier food and drink offering, with Formaggi by Lazy Tony’s, Voodoo Rays, Cabin Chocolat and Soft Boi. Plus Michelin-starred chef Jordan Bailey will bring his new smash burger venture Heard to the trail, which are made using the finest eco-friendly ingredients from regenerative farms.

Free parking is available for all ticket holders, with convenient transport links also available for those travelling via tram and bus to the trail. Tickets are from £8 for children, £10 for adults and family tickets from £32.
